'You work for your hours!': Employee quits after reading demanding manager's note

This note was the last straw for one fed-up gas station employee! As shared to r/antiwork, the OP, u/GlitteringSpell5885, shared an eye-opening note from management. Along with sharing the note, which got lightly roasted in the comments, the OP also answered a few of the commenter's questions to add context to the situation. As the OP wrote, the manager felt she was entitled to talk down to the young employees who worked at this gas station. Clearly, the tone of the note struck a nerve with at least one (former) employee.

    Handwriting - B) 8/10 8/10/17 You work for your hours! If you' don't work you won't have the hours and you can start looking for another job! I rather work would PER short-handed before I give than, rather means someone that doesn't work who hours.     Some of the handwritten notes read "8/10 See me after class!" and crossing out "before I give" to write "than, rather means preferred already." After these edits, the OP wrote, "P.S. - You'll never pass third grade spelling and grammar like this. I quit :)".

The adults that speak this way usually are gas station supervisors. No offense to gas station supervisors out there. There's just so much wrong here. Is this how these adults format documents?
